My name is Shanteria McKnight, born and raised in Atlanta, GA. I'm a mother of three and the proud owner of AJX Financial Services. My journey in the financial sector began in 2006 after the devastating impact of Hurricane Katrina, which inspired me to give back to the people of my state and those who relocated to Atlanta from Louisiana.
I became certified with H&R Block in 2006 and never looked back. My passion for helping others, coupled with the opportunity to create a rewarding career, led me to obtain my insurance license. I started by selling auto insurance and later expanded to life insurance. Eager to grow, I ventured into group insurance, which I found deeply fulfilling.
In 2017, I joined RNZ Financial Services as a tax preparer during tax season, honing my skills and passion for financial services. By 2022, I made a pivotal decision to integrate tax preparation into my own business, AJX Financial Services, and opened my first office with a team of six tax professionals.
When Hurricane Harvey struck in August 2017, I was devastated for Texas. As part of a professional circle that included insurance experts and adjusters, I received an opportunity to deploy to Dallas, Texas, as a non-licensed adjuster. Despite my fears and the responsibilities of raising three children, I took a leap of faith. Guided by God, I worked and studied during the storm, ultimately becoming a licensed claims adjuster.
Since then, my career has flourished beyond my expectations. I am passionate about helping people manage their finances in all legal aspects, and I am fortunate to combine my love for taxes with my role as an independent adjuster.
